Safety

Please read the important information about health and safety to assess your readiness for the Climb. We care about your health, safety and comfort.

Please bring fully enclosed rubber-soled shoes (eg. running, sport or hiking shoes), which offer comfort, support and grip. PVC and leather-soled shoes are not suitable. We suggest to bring warm and comfortable cloth. Please be aware that it can be quite chilly with a strong wind on top of the Gasometer. Cameras and glasses have to be secured around your neck with a neckband. You will have to complete a compulsory alcohol breath test and sign a safety declaration form.

To complete the Climb you will need:

• A reasonable level of fitness and strength
• Full body control and hand-eye-foot co-ordination
• The ability to climb independently (unsupported by walking aids)

Your are NOT allowed to climb if:

• you suffer from all heart conditions (including high blood pressure)
• you suffer from all respiratory conditions
• you suffer from Back, limb or joint injuries
• you have missing limbs or part thereof, inclusive of prosthetics
• you suffer from Vertigo, dizziness or loss of balance; visual impairment (except wearing prescription glasses or contact lenses), and learning conditions
• you suffer from Dizziness or fear of heights
• you are influenced by drugs or alcohol
• if you are pregnant

Why? Because the Climb experience includes:

• Climbing 456 stairs
• Walking on open mesh flooring (cattle grid) - 80meters above ground
• Exposure to all weather conditions

If you are not meeting our Safety requirements, Erlebnis Sightseeing can always exclude you from the climb, the ticket becomes invalid and we will not refund it. If for what ever reasons you may decide not to climb, we won't refund the ticket either.


At Climb Berlin's discretion, essential medication may be taken on the Climb (e.g. asthma inhalers or diabetic medication). Please speak with your Guide on the day.

• Climbers must pass an alcohol breath test before climbing the Gasometer. Any persons over the limit of 0,5 per mill will not be allowed to climb and their ticket becomes invalid.
• It is a requirement for every climber to complete a Climber Declaration document before climbing.

Weather

Depending on our weather conditions we always have to expect strong wind, heavy rain or thunderstorms. Please be aware, that we have to cancel your reservation, in case we can't guarantee a safe and enjoyable Climb. We will offer an alternative climb Date and if you won't be able to make it than, we will refund your ticket.
