The Climb


What are the Climbing conditions on the Gasometer?
The Climb Berlin experience includes:
- Climbing 456 Steps on a regular Stairway
- walking on open mesh flooring at the top of the Gasometer
- exposure to all weather conditions.

Can I take a camera or video camera?
Yes you can, but you are requested to secure your camera around your neck (with neckband) at all time. You can bring your own or buy Climb Berlin neckbands at our reception.

Can I bring glasses or sunglasses?
Yes. We supply lanyards to secure your glasses and sunglasses on your Climb.

Can I bring medication?
At Climb Berlin's discretion, essential medication may be taken on the Climb (e.g: asthma inhalers or diabetic medication). Please speak with your Guide on the day or contact the Direct Line.

What kind of shoes should I wear?
You must wear fully enclosed rubber-soled shoes such as running, sport or hiking shoes, which offer comfort, support and grip. PVC and leather-soled shoes are not suitable.

What kind of cloth should I bring?
Please bring suitable cloth for our weather conditions. It will be some grad colder and more wind on top of the Gasometer. Please bring warm cloth and maybe a windbreaker!

How long does it take to reach the top of the Gasometer from the time of check-in?
From check-in, it takes about half an hour to reach the top of the Gasomter. The 10 minutes includes a comprehensive briefing and safety demonstration, followed by an 20 minutes walking to the top.

Where does the Climb start and finish?
Climb Berlin starts and finishes at Climb Base, Torgauer Strasse 15-22 See our Location Map.
