Participation


Can kids Climb?
Yes, but only children aged 12 and over can undertake Climb Berlin. Children aged 12 to 16 must be accompanied by an adult, with a maximum of three children per adult. All Climbers must be over 1.5 metres tall.

Can seniors Climb?
Yes. However you must be reasonably fit and strong, with full body control and hand-eye-coordination Anyone who can sustain moderate physical exertion for 1 hour and climb 456 Steps should find Climb Berlin exhilarating. However it is well worth reading about Climb conditions on our „health, safety and weather“-page. We encourage and support all Climbers, but note that we reserve the right to decline participation or modify your the choice of Climb experience.

Can people with a fear of heights Climb?
It depends on how strong this fear is. You are welcome to try and if you decide to interupt the climb we will help you to climb down safely. We will not refund your ticket. Please inform your guide about your fear prior the Climb.

Can pregnant women Climb?
If you are over 12 weeks pregnant you cannot climb.

Can People with a disability or medical condition Climb?
It depends on your situation. In general you can climb if you have:

- reasonable levels of fitness and strength
- full body control and hand-eye-foot coordination
- ability to climb independently (unsupported by walking aids)

You are unable to climb if you:

- are under 1.5 metres in height
- have broken bones
- have undergone surgery in the last 6 months or are experiencing ongoing symptoms
- have experienced a fit or seizure in the past 6 months and do not hold a driver's licence for this reason

The following conditions may impact your ability to make Climb Berlin safely:

- all heart conditions (including high blood pressure)
- all respiratory conditions
- missing or partly missing limbs, including prosthetics
